Ask Yourself.

I'm here not to condemn you because it does applies to myself. As I blot this out, I myself has been reflecting about incidents and situation that has occur to me but by pass by me.

When I read Philip Yancey's book on Finding God in Unexpected Place, one sentence of word strikes me, "Where is the church when it hurts?" - this question comes out from him when the 9/11 terrorism happens because people in large are asking "Where is God when it hurts?".

It's so sad that nowadays Christian themselves want to find comfort in church, want the church to meet their needs and wants (like a consumer in market place), mixing their beliefs with God's beliefs in how church should run and how Christian should act upon. Christian themselves can't find peace in God but in human, can't find comfort in God but in human, can't find security in God but in the world (not pointing at anyone but in general, my point of view).

If Christians are acting like this, how can a church(not building but people of God) work in times like this (9/11) or Bersih? God can review Himself anytime He wants to the people, but He also will review through you and me. But the problem is how can He review to the people through us if we are acting like selfless fool who only wants to be among ourselves? How much do you want to deny yourself and say we are still lacking of training? Isn't the place at work is a training to you already?

When I reflect on all this, it strikes myself as a Christian on what have we become in this world, and what about God's ultimate commandment and commission for us? I'm deeply trouble by it and may the Spirit leads me to teach me more and act upon learning all of this.

It's definitely a challenge to me to be observant enough to see God works in many places in order to react directly to the mission that Jesus has set for us in this world.

You don't need to have any talents or gifts, what you need is just commitment as people of Christ.

I hope it does the same to you in challenging you.

May the Lord leads.

Workers vs Fields.

Matthew 9: 37 - 38

"He said to His disciples, "The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into His fields."

Have you ever wonder about this verse? I never really think about it deeply until today when I joined church Christmas Carol.

I've been wondering is this true? Is the field is too big that workers are lesser? Probably at Jesus time, it is so, but look around you now, observe it. In the past, Jesus says this because many has not known the TRUTH, but now, I do not know the exact statistic of how many has not know the truth, but I'll assume 95% has known it and at least hear it before.

Therefore, how can we understands from this truth of this words in our generation? I feel it's simply human being (imperfection). Commitment is truely a big issue now. People want to do what they want to do only and wouldn't care to bother other things and not do it. All they do is "I want to do my stuff (I'm Busy technically)" and they complain about other people doing other things, helping out one another and doing what that guy supposed to do. Christian workers are not few nowadays, there are a lot a lot a lot! Imagine in Malaysia, how many churches are there in Malaysia? 1 mega church can fit thousands of people! Are there really few workers?

How about the field? I couldn't measure exactly how big or small is there now. I'm no God. But based on my own observation, in the past, fields are way bigger than now. Don't you think so?

Therefore, commitment is an utmost important in life. No work can be done through a non commitment actions. Be strong! Courage! Do not let nonsense emotions hold you down from committing yourself to the Lord. It's time to realize that what you have said, have declare, have sung, unto the Lord Your God has to be in your heart and not your head and to put it into practice.

Even when I say this, I find it so hard to do it. Do not know where to starts. Then a verse comes to me,
Matthew 6 : 34 : Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.. "

I'm putting myself into this Commitment and learning from His word day by day to build a solid foundation on a solid Rock. How about you? If I fail, help me out and do not condemn me. Let's love each other.

Mercy and Grace will follow us all the way of our life. That's His promise.

Have you forgotten the promises?

While I'm filtering my pictures on my lappy, I come upon these few pictures. Let's have a look at it :)

Did you remember what you write and what you prayed for? It's always easy to do something then forgetting about it especially when it comes to something that we always do since we are young. Praying, reading Bible, and etc. It's like a sand castle. If we never take a picture of it, the sea water will just gush and wave upon it and it's gone.

I'm here to not say that I'm all perfect that I can remember all my promises, prayers to God and to you and me, but I'm also learning on how to jot down what I prayed, what I promised so that I can keep track of my commitment to God and to you.

It's like love. It has to be tested of its commitment before one can truely love a person. Of course the test must be a test where commitment is there and the absence of it is infatuation.

Brother and Sister,

do not forget what burns your soul when you sing for Him.
do not forget what fires up your heart when you decide to receive Him as your personal Savior.
do not forget who God is and why you are baptized for.
do not forget your commitment to Him. Serve 100%, Rest 100%. He sees the heart.

All this are to be remember and act upon. It's always easy to forget because this is what Satan want us to forget (Genesis 4 : 7b : Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master). Let not sin win over your commitment to Christ, your love to Christ and let not your judgement condemn you whenever a brother or sister tries to help you in ways that you dislike.

Fight the Good race brother and sister. Remember the commitment we made. To Him, It's very important. Let's made it important too.

Let your heart continue to burn for Him.
Passion
Commitment
Love
Endurance.

Some little picture of the past. It reminds me of how they look when they were younger :P

The Heart That Matters.

Ever wonder when was the last time you gave your best shot to the Lord?

I just gave it today. It's unexpected. Like how God use to be huh? Mysterious God ;)

Today, ran with derk, kao meng, jensen and another girl (don't know how to spell) - just like old times. haha. miss that moment. Anyway, was running, upon reaching 5km, my knee couldn't take it, guess that's my limit for now, then in my mind I was thinking "cannot stop! must move on. They are my motivation." Then I pray, and God remind me that motivation and determination, they can come from human, but mainly it comes from the Lord. Then, I repent (i think) and tell God, even though my knee is in pain, let me finish 1 round. 1 word came to me. It's not gonna be easy, suffering will come first and indeed!!! Suffering does come first, running in pain isn't such a good thing. haha

However, keep pushing myself then upon reaching the guard house, in the beginning i think, hmm, take short cut la then after that I tell myself cannot! must finish it like I promised to God. So I keep running and running and when I reach the guard house (almost), derk and kao meng was inside Harvard running already and they ask me to turn in. My heart felt so much relieved! Able to take short cut and rest earlier. No need to push my knee further more.

Well, my point is, the moment you decided to give your best shot, your heart in finishing the race for the Lord, He is glad and definitely happy because what He wants is the heart. The HEART that matters the most. Like Abraham where God ask him to sacrifice his first born child, Abraham wouldn't want it to happen  but he obey and gave his heart to the Lord, but in the end, God called him to stop from sacrificing his son.

He loves to test the heart of His creation. Of course, there are many ways in Him testing your heart. He may test me and let me run the full 1 round rather than short cut. But no matter what, before that happens, my heart has decided to finish it and I'm prepared to do it. Therefore, I guess I pass 1 of the many test in my life for Him.

Remember, failed or succeed, He know what is best for you and me. Heart that matters :)

God Bless.

Sex first or Love first?

I think it's very important to identify which comes first when you decided to meet the person and be with him or her. Many are caught up into the mindset of sex first because it's what a human desire (i would say the most). I'm not saying this as if we are all perfect but the divine order is love first, then come sex. However, by looking generally into this world, it seems the human order are sex first.

Let's put our mindset straight and right, if it is sex first, can love blossom? It's a rational idea if love come first, and with sex (natural attractiveness that God has given) come later, it will blossom even more.

Just like a flower, without the roots, there won't be any transferring of nutrient to blossom up the flower or even making it to grow. The roots are supposed to be what a relationship should be enjoying in their fellowship, friendship, help, support, sacrifice, collaboration and etc (Nate Saint). These are the root or factors that love must be measured.

What comes after that, only you, your spouse and God knows .

Let our roots be strong before we get into any relationship and actions.

Oh, I'm not trying to condemn anything or anyone, but just some thoughts that come through my mind. You never know what a person may go through, may the Lord watches over us and guard our hearts that are engraved by His law, His words, and His love.

Take care :)
